Web Designer

We are looking for a Web Designer to do the design development and coding of their cutting edge designs. The ideal candidate for this position should have advanced skills using the Creative Suite, HTML, CSS, and Javascript. Knowledge of Drupal is a plus. Several years of experience is expected to meet our needs.

General description:

This position focuses on HTML, PHP and CSS production for a variety of websites ranging from marketing to social media and mobile devices.

This is a highly visible position with requirements of, but not limited to the following:

HTML/XHTML based content creation and coding
Advanced Javascript coding capacity including jQuery and Javascript on mobile platforms
Ability to hand-code advanced, layered CSS
Analyze and develop wireframes and example designs

Web Developer

Ambry Genetics, a rapidly-growing molecular clinical diagnostics and biotechnology company based in Aliso Viejo, California, is seeking to hire a full-time Web Developer with an emphasis on visualization, presentation, and integration of bioinformatics data.

Roles and responsibilities:
As a Web Developer in the Bioinformatics Department, the person will have the opportunity to work with scientists and programmers in various departments to develop a variety of web tools and programs with the emphasis on presenting and visualizing biological data. This is an amazing opportunity to get in to one of the fastest growing fields in the health care industry.

Required qualifications:

LAMP stack (Linux, Apache, PHP, MySQL).
HTML, CSS, JavaScript, SQL, jQuery, jQuery UI.
Scripting language, such as Python, Perl, or Ruby, etc.

Genetic Counselors

Ambry Genetics is a thriving and fun company that provides molecular diagnostics and biotechnology services. The company is currently located in Orange County, California, and it is expanding across multiple markets. We are looking for personable and self-motivated individuals to help us keep pace with our growth. As a Genetic Counselor at Ambry Genetics, you will have the opportunity to provide input and guidance for the development of new genetic tests, sales relations, customer service, operations, and more. This is an excellent opportunity for an independent, creative, service-oriented person looking to make a difference in a growing organization.

Ambry Genetics currently has several open positions for genetic counselors, each with a specialized focus. Some roles will have overlapping duties and/or require travel.

Laboratory Genetic Counselors-Reporting

Write and interpret molecular diagnostic test results.
Review of relevant medical literature.
Handle high volume of reports.
Consult with medical directors and clients on complicated cases.
Develop and manage reporting of new molecular tests.
Coordinate specimens and report results for Ambry’s variant reclassification program. Provide client with updates for successfully reclassified variants.
Present posters promoting Ambry technologies and services at conferences.

Laboratory Genetic Counselors- Development & Support

Assist with new molecular diagnostic test launches.
Design educational tools for clients and patients.
Hold webinars and educational sessions for clients as well as Ambry employees.
Phone and technical support (requires availability for 5am-2pm shift).
Provide follow up with clients (i.e. obtaining additional clinical information, requesting additional specimens, etc.).
Occasional support of other departments.

Genetic Counselors Specializing in Genomics

Review literature and draft reports for the Clinical Diagnostic Exome test.
Answer client inquiries about clinical diagnostic exome.
Coordinate specimen submission with clients.
Support product development for clinical genomics tests.

Qualifications:

Masters Degree in Genetic Counseling.
Board certified or board eligible for ABGC.

Scientist-R&D

Ambry Genetics is seeking to hire a full time Jr. Scientist for its molecular genetics R&D laboratory.

Roles and responsibilities:

The Jr. Scientist will be involved in the development of new assays and technologies in our research team. Responsibilities include: assessment of genetic and genomic literature, project utility and scope, independent assay design and hands-on methods development. Evaluation of research data, new technologies, generation of publications and business materials.

Required skills and experience:

Ph.D. in molecular biology, genetics, or related scientific field.
Minimum of two years experience post-doctoral training.
Proficiency in PCR, microarrays and sequencing technologies, preferably next generation sequencing methods.
Strong computer and bioinformatics skills.

A specialized genetic testing company headquartered in Aliso Viejo, California, is seeking to hire a full-time Medical Insurance Pre-verification Specialist. We are looking for dedicated personnel who are able to multi-task and thrive in a fast paced environment. The candidate would ideally have experience in this role in a clinical laboratory.

This position requires a self-motivated, enthusiastic and friendly individual with medical insurance. Will perform insurance billing verifications and authorizations. Computer skills should include Word and Excel.

As a Regional Account Executive at Ambry Genetics, you will have the opportunity to provide input and guidance for the development of new genetic tests, sales relations, customer service, operations, and more. This is field based sales opportunity to manage and grow Ambry Genetics revenue in an assigned territory. Overnight territory travel is required. If you have a successful history of selling laboratory testing services to specialty clinicians and/or clinical laboratory send-outs, then you will not want to miss becoming part of Ambry's expanding sales team as a Regional Account Executive.

Responsibilities:

As a successful Regional Account Executive, you will increase laboratory sales revenue through market penetration and promotion of Ambry's portfolio of genetic diagnostic testing services. You will advocate the clinical and financial benefits of our products to all levels and call points in the hospital, specialty clinic, and physician's office including MD's, nurses, genetic counselors, and laboratory staff. The successful Regional Account Executive will need a level of sophistication to handle customer relationships with industry thought leaders, manage the dynamics between lab, doctor, & genetic counselors, and be able to drive highly complex sales to closure. In this role, you will:

Manage a sales territory, multi state.
Live in a major Metropolitan area of the territory.
